I am currently in Odense in Denmark for the European Women's Championships.
The last squad of doubles is on now and so far this hasn't been a great tournament for me. I have played 12 games so far in the doubles with Jenny, who played par and now have the day off before the trios starts tomorrow.
After the doubles i am very dissapointed with my scores i haven't played to an amazing standard so far although i do feel i haven't played bad!! i have made good shots and tried to plug through what the lanes have allowed me to do but unfortunately my match up has not been good, therefore i found it very hard to throw my shots with complete confidence. Although i now have a better idea of what i need to do, so tomorrow is a new start for me.
Last night we had pizza and went to sit the the games room in the hotel, this was a good idea and a chance for the team to chill out, unfortunately a marble table liked me a little too much when it fell on my foot and smashed, so i spent the rest of the night with my foot up and a bag of ice and the team watched the football with the Germans. Thats two injured after Jemma's ball couldn't be seperated from her ankle for some reason in practice and the first 6 games, although her bruise is pretty impressive....only 4 to go now!! he he!!
This morning i came to watch Jemma and JoJo, they had both played good in the first 6 games on Short Oil. On the long this morning both looked good and played well throughout the games. Unfortunately the lanes were not allowing them many high scores but they both felt happy with their shot making.
Anyway i will right more later as i am now watching Zara and Lisa in their doubles who are in a really good position and both looking good.
